ORIGIN: Found in Brazil and Bolivia at elevations of 1200 to 1800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Minature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender, purple ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, purple, elliptic, obtuse, gradually narrows below into the base leaf and blooms in the late spring through summer on a lateral, purple, 1 [2.5 cm] long, successively several to 12 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe with long lasting, color variable flowers.
