ORIGIN: Found in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize and Nicaragua in wet cloud forests on large tree trunks and fallen logs at elevations around 1170 meters.

DESCRIPTION: An miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short ramicaul enveloped basally by several scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, fleshy coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, obtuse and tridentate [slightly] apically, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms with an apical, racemose, fractiflex longer than the leaves, 1 1/5 [3 cm] long, inflorescence that has 2 to 4 successive opening flowers.
