ORIGIN: Found in Bahia and Rio de Janeiro states of Brazil in shady forests at elevationsof 200 to 300 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 4 loose, glabrous, tubular sheathsand carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, cuneate below intio the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, slender, .8 to 1.6 [2 to 4 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the ramicaul..
