DESCRIPTION: Found from Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte at elevations of 160 to 1500 meters with ovoid, sulcate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, plicate, elliptic-lanceolate, acute or acuminate, suberect, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a pendant, basal, to 12 [30 cm] long, pubescent, loosely few to many flowered inflorescence with fragrant, short lived flowers occurring in the spring.
