Restrepiella pilosissima is an orchid species identified by (Schltr.) Garay & Dunst. in 1966. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Dresslerella pilosissima.
ORIGIN: Found in Costa Rica in humid evergreen forests at elevations of 800 to 1100 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature, warm to cool growing miniature epiphyte that has pilose, terete ramicauls enveloped basally by tubular, pilose bracts and carries a subcoriaceous, ovate-lanceolate, long-pubescent on both sides, papilose, shortly conduplicate below into the petiolate base leaf that is succulent-like and blooms in the winter on a succession of solitary, pubescent flowers that arise on a .12 [3 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a basal sheath and a single, tubular, pubescent floral bract arising from the apex of the ramicaul without an annulus. The single flower is held close to the base of the leaf and most all parts of the plant are pubescent.
