ORIGIN: Found in Sulawesi in montane forests near rivers at elevations of 1130 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect to spreading, branching, slightly compressed stems carrying horizontally spreading, oblong to slightly ovate, thick and leathery, hardly bilobed apically with the lobes unequal and obtuse or strap-shaped, greeen, leathery, deeply bilobed apically, lobes unequal and rounded leaves that blooms in the spring with 2 different forms, the first on a lateral, opposite the leaf in the mid to upper stem, horizontally spreading, paniculate, 8 to 15 branched with extensive secondary branching, main branch 2 to 4.8 [5 to 12 cm] long, successively to 25 flowered, overall to 15.2 to 24 [38 to 60 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with each branch having only 2 flowers open at any one time. The 2nd inflorescence form has a 6.4 to 12 [16 to 30 cm] long, 3 to 6 branched, no secondary branching, main branch 1.6 to 2 [4 to 6 cm] long, successively to 15 flowered inflorescence with 2 to 4 flowers open at any one time.
