ORIGIN: Found in Spain and Portugal in damp meadows and degraded garrigue at elevations up to 400 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a pale green stem carrying 3 to 7, erect, rarely spotted, sometimes curved, linear-lanceolte, chenneled-keeled leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, 8 [20 cm] long, laxly few to several [3 to 13] flowered inflorescence, that has large bracts that almost cover the flowers which occur in the spring.
