ORIGIN: Found in Brazil as a small sized, cool growing lithophyte on exposed rock cliff faces at elevations of 1200 meters in the state of Espirito Santo and Minas Gerais.

DESCRIPTION: Found in Brazil as a small sized, cool growing lithophyte on exposed rock cliff faces at elevations of 1200 meters in the state of Espirito Santo and Minas Gerais with a reddish green pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, keeled leaf that blooms in August and September but in cultivation in the north they bloom in the fall on a 6 3/4 [17 cm] long, erect stalk with 7 to 12 flowers clustered at the apex and held well above the leaves with a group of small flowers.
