ORIGIN: Found in southeastern Brazil and Argentina.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with an erect stem partially enveloped by lanceolate, acute bracts and carrying 5 to 6, basal, broad, oblong-ligulate, acute, long attenuate into the base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, 4 [10 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence.
