ORIGIN: Found in Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Java, Sumatra, Borneo, Moluccas, New Guinea and the Philippines in lowland, hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 200 to 1600 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with laterally flattened, oval, green, fleshy pseudobulbs envloped completely by basal leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single apical, erect, narrowly lanceolate, apically uneven, basally conduplicate and clasping leaf that blooms in the winter on an axillary, arising from the lower sheaths, brown, erect, 6 [15 cm] long, rhachis bent downwards and very short inflorescence carrying many scarcely opening, simultaneous, 10 to 12 flowers clustered together at the apex.
