ORIGIN: Found in Assam, the Andaman Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Taiwan, Vietnam and Sumatra in lowland and scrubby lower montane ridge forests at elevations of 250 to 1500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with mostly erect, terete, freely branching stems carrying narrowly oblong, unequally bilobed apically, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the very short, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a, from opposite the leaves, sometimes 2, mostly horizontal, terete, gradually extending to 4.4 [11 cm], successively single flowered inflorescence with bracts all around and ovate-triangular, acute, concave floral bracts.
