ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in montane forests at elevations of 1900 to 3100 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool to cold, scandent growing epiphyte with prolific, branching, erect, elongate ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 7, closely adpressed, lepanthiform sheaths with ciliate ostia and carrying a single, apical, suberect, coriaceous, purple suffused, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a loose, lightly flexuous, 2 to 4.8 [5 to 12 cm] long, more or less simultaneously several flowered, racemose inflorescence arising from near the apex of the ramicaul.
