Unciferia wagneri is an orchid species identified by (Schltr.) Luer in 2004. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Stelis wagneri.
ORIGIN: Found from Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru as a miniature, warm to cool growing epiphyte at elevations of 1700 to 2250 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Found from Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru as a miniature, warm to cool growing epiphyte at elevations of 1700 to 2250 meters with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 thin, tubular sheaths carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, obtuse to rounded, subpetiolate leaf that is narrowly cuneate into the conduplicate, subpetiolate base that blooms on a subdense, secund, simultaneously several flowered, 2 2/5 to 4 [6 to 10 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with oblique floral bracts and carrying fragrant flowers.
