DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing with rosulate, basal, small, membraneous, intense green, erect-patent, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, acute, attenuate below into the short, deeply canaliculate, pseudo-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect, thin, shortly villous to puberulent, enveloped by 1 to 2, erect, ovate-lanceolate, long acuminate, pale, thinly membraneous sheaths, peduncle 2.4 to 6.4 [6 to 16 cm] long, rachis .4 to 2 [1 to 5 cm] long, laxly 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence carrying spirally arranged flowers.
