It eats leaves of plants and petals of flowers; drench the pots with Diazinon 50% WP at 2 ttpg. A78-309; adults can be controlled by fumigation with Lindane or by use of Derris dust. OR79-227

WEEVILS: Characteristics and Controls It was once a destructive pest; now in many places no more a problem. AH7; in northern areas a small black weevil (black vine weevil?) cuts scallop-shaped pieces out of edges of flowers at night; they can be searched out with a flashlight at night and picked off; their larvae feed in the compost; in Hawaii.
